Reporting System Enhancement Ideas

Current: Any claim/target/standard information for Smarter Balanced assessments is hard-coded into hand-created files that are manually loaded for each state. Changes and error-checking are time-consuming and rely on multiple reviews.

The Smarter Content Explorer (CSE) database contains real-time data on Smarter Balanced claim/target/standards. Planned enhancements to the CSE include supporting state-specific standards and an API that can connect to other applications.

Request: Develop a method to connect to the CSE database API to pull real-time information on content and item specifications.
